What is Arewa Web3 DAO (AW3D)?

AW3D is a decentralized community built to empower Hausa-speaking individuals with the skills, tools, and opportunities to thrive in the Web3 era. We offer training, mentorship, and access to digital projects in areas like blockchain, cybersecurity, DeFi, and design — all taught in a way that connects with our culture and reality.

DAO stands for Decentralized Autonomous Organization. It means AW3D isn’t controlled by one person or company — it’s run by the community. Members can propose ideas, vote on decisions, and help shape our direction. We use blockchain tools like multi-signature wallets and smart contract voting to keep everything transparent and fair.
Anyone who shares our passion for technology, learning, and community can join — especially Hausa-speaking individuals from Nigeria and across Africa. Whether you’re a student, a graduate, or a self-taught learner, AW3D is open to you.

Our programs blend online learning, mentorship, and hands-on projects. We cover topics such as: • Web3 fundamentals and blockchain literacy • Cybersecurity and data protection • Decentralized Finance (DeFi) • Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) • Web design and creative technology
Each program includes expert guidance, real-life applications, and certifications that hold value in the job market.
You can start by joining our online community channels, attending webinars, or enrolling in one of our virtual workshops. Once active, you can become a DAO member by purchasing and completing a course in any field. This gives you exclusive opportunities and access to the core team and instructors.
While our primary focus is Hausa-speaking communities, our doors are open to anyone. We teach using both Hausa and English to ensure accessibility for a wider African audience, while staying true to our cultural identity.

Our sustainability model is community-driven. We fund our operations through:
• Nominal training and certification fees
• Partnerships with organizations and sponsors
• DAO membership NFTs and contributions
• Content monetization and strategic airdrops
This ensures that we remain independent and accountable to our members, not to external investors.

Upon completing our structured training or mentorship programs, learners receive digital certificates that are verifiable on-chain. These certificates validate your skills to employers and also serve as proof of your participation within the DAO ecosystem.
Joining the community is free. However, some advanced courses, certifications, or mentorship programs may require a small fee — which helps support our operations and community projects. We strive to keep costs affordable for everyone.
